Episode Recap
While reviewing the plan, Wen notices that one of the locations is Jim's diner, and they are already in talks about demolition. They move on to planning on the spot and tour the market before stopping at Gaipa's stall and thanking his mother for her help.
It turned out that he would represent other food vendors to talk to them and convince them to sell their space. The leader asks about the Moonlight Chicken dish, and Gaipa and Wen share a look. He says that if they say money, the contract will be signed soon. But he adds that the building is historic and if he owned it, he would turn it into a street market for tourists.
At Supochs, Heart teaches Lee Ming sign language and they continue to find it amusing as they fight. Finally, Heart writes that she is grateful that Li Ming learned sign language for her. They then start talking about the trip and Li Ming gets excited.
Later, Wen visits the diner and sees Jim going to the shrine with a large order. At the shrine, Wen notices that Jim is making a free delivery to the shrine for a festival. Moreover, he refuses to be named as a sponsor.
As they later pray at the temple, Jim notices that Wen is worried. He tries to cheer her up and asks if there's a chance to have a relationship with him instead of Wen. Jim turns to pray and we cut to a flashback where we see Jim in the sanctuary with his past before the diner opens. They pray aloud that the party will be a proof of their love and help him succeed.
One day he gets a call from the past and Jim realizes it's from someone named Khwan, with whom he takes many selfies. Ex picks up the phone and Jim says he's going to visit his paranoid mother. They must have been engaged or married because she angrily takes Jim's ring.
They talk about Jim's sister, who is unsure about love, but she proves that love with her ex is universal. Wen adds that gender has nothing to do with the failed relationships that Jim takes.
The next day, Song, the landlord, arrives and warns Jim that Marina wants the land and he is thinking about it. Li Ming sees Jim giving Song a free meal and is upset that he is rich. Leng tells her about the food court and she gets even more upset. Jim said they could buy the property for 300,000 baht and everyone was disappointed. At this point, Wen calls Jim and asks to meet him.
They meet and Wen tells her that he is working on the construction of a food court. Although Jim says he's not upset, he tells Wen not to come to the cafeteria and leaves. While Leng watches them from afar, he hangs out with Gaipa instead. Gaypa invites him to the Loy Krathong festival, and Jim says he's too old for that.
They talk about the food court and Gaipa convinces her to let her mother make out with Song. In return, he asks Jim to come with him to the festival if he's free, and the old man laughs and thanks him for his help.
The next morning, Jim is called to Li Ming's school because of his low grades. As she leaves, Li Ming sees her and looks concerned. At dinner, uncle and nephew have a confrontation, and Li Ming tells him about work and travel options in the United States. Jim is upset as Li Ming runs away.
He offers to buy her a phone box and they see Jim trying to contact him. Li Ming tells him that he doesn't know what he wants to do, and that he might even try bartending. Wen says he moved his faculties to mid-year.
At the diner, Jim is upset that Li Ming keeps avoiding him, while Leng and Prav try to help them by making flower baskets for the festival. Praew says he saw Li Ming with Wen and tries to call them while Jim looks at the job and travel brochure. Meanwhile, Li Ming wanders around town aimlessly.
He finally makes his way to Supochlar and finds that the adults will be out late. He realizes that Heart was probably the reason he tried some alcohol when they first met. Naughty Son takes Li Ming to a bar and gives him a bottle to try, which he initially tries to refuse.
Wen, on the other hand, is having dinner with his father. He asks her about her relationship and Wen says it's complicated. His father says that love is not complicated, it is falling out of it. Wen finally answers Jim's call and invites him to a restaurant, while his father asks if he has a new girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Heart and Li Ming get drunk and laugh as they fill the bottle with tea. As he goes to hold her, his hands touch and they both walk away. Heart smiles as Li Ming asks her to do the Loy Krathong ceremony together, which she agrees to.
Jim arrives at the restaurant and it's awkward as Wen's dad tries to fix things by talking the whole time. After they finish, Wen tells Jim that he is his stepfather, and after seeing how happy his mother is, he approaches her. However, Jim feels like a terrible parent for not being able to deal with Li Ming. Wen tells him to listen because his nephew probably wants some freedom. Then she wonders if she's okay with Jim, and Jim suggests buying baskets of flowers for the ceremony.
Li Ming asks if they can float the basket down a river next year, to which Heart agrees and they make a pinky promise. Meanwhile, Gaypa's basket sails with her mother and asks her to find a lover with whom she can carry on the tradition. Unfortunately for him, Jim takes the baskets that Praew made and gives one to Wen. They make a wish and filter them.
In Heart's bedroom, she can't stop smiling when she turns around and sees Li Ming in bed with her. Li Ming asks her to read her lips and wishes her a good night. Shyheart turns away, but turns back and smiles together before falling asleep. As for Wen, she goes home and drinks beer while a man sleeps in her bed.
Episode Review
Of course, Wen would be part of a rival team that could handle Gaipa and Jim very well. No romantic drama is complete without a hitch or two. Maybe Guypa's mom is a foreshadowing of what's to come, as we hope Jimin can save the diner by buying the building. We could also get a sudden historic landmark dam that could prevent the marina from demolishing it.
As for Li Ming and Heart, they totally have our hearts and they don't even work that much. Their friendship is cute, with Li Ming sleeping with her, learning sign language so she can communicate with Heart.
We still haven't gotten any subtitles for sign language, as fans say director Lee Min wants us to experience the same thing he did when he spoke to Heart. This theory feels stronger in this episode, as we unknowingly learn the words signed like "thank you" along with Li Ming.
